Ataraxia
From vineyard sites in Elgin and Hemel-en-Aarde, where cool climates mean that the grapes hang longer on the vine to ripen. The winemaking style is minimalist, and fermentation took place in small French barriques for 10 months. This wine is chiselled, focussed, subtle and intense. Lovely aromas of citrus, peach, pear, hazelnut and vanilla. Lemony, mineral acidity is balanced by subtle intensity of fruit. Platter guide : 4.5 stars.

Domaine Bergon
Vementino is also known as Rolle, and originates in Italy (Sardinia and Corsica). It is usually quite light in body, but Domaine Bergon has used the sur lie process (leaving the wine in contact wtih the inactive yeast cells for awhile after fermentation). This results in a more intense wine with more body. Aromas of citrus and peach blossoms delicate, fresh flavours. A great apéretif !;

Red Wine
Did you know that at Paradisi you can find 128 red South African white wines? Yes, that’s right… ranging from Cabernet Sauvignon, to Merlot, to Syrah, to Cabernet Franc, to Grenache, to blends and combinations to…!
Every week and weekend a bottle of wine is open for tasting, and we regularly hold tasting evenings – subscribe to our mailing list if you would like to be kept up to date.
White Wine
Our favourite white grape is Viognier, a grape with unknown origins.
In 1965, it was almost extinct! Fortunately it is now grown all over the world, in sunny places, and is made into a white wine with character.
Its aromas encompass white peaches, apricots, violets, almonds, honey, pears and exotic fruit.
Rose Wine
It is just about time to no longer think about rosé wines, as we head into deep autumn and winter.
Rosé wine is produced from black-skinned grapes which are crushed, and then the skin is left in contact with the juice for a short period only.
Rosé wines are delicious on summer days, and a wide variety of grape and quality are available.
