Ataraxia
From vineyard sites in Elgin and Hemel-en-Aarde, where cool climates mean that the grapes hang longer on the vine to ripen. The winemaking style is minimalist, and fermentation took place in small French barriques for 10 months. This wine is chiselled, focussed, subtle and intense. Lovely aromas of citrus, peach, pear, hazelnut and vanilla. Lemony, mineral acidity is balanced by subtle intensity of fruit. Platter guide : 4.5 stars.

White Wine
Our favourite white grape is Viognier, a grape with unknown origins.
In 1965, it was almost extinct! Fortunately it is now grown all over the world, in sunny places, and is made into a white wine with character.
Its aromas encompass white peaches, apricots, violets, almonds, honey, pears and exotic fruit.
Rose Wine
It is just about time to no longer think about rosé wines, as we head into deep autumn and winter.
Rosé wine is produced from black-skinned grapes which are crushed, and then the skin is left in contact with the juice for a short period only.
Rosé wines are delicious on summer days, and a wide variety of grape and quality are available.
