There is more Chenin Blanc now in South Africa (still also locally called Steen) than there is in the Loire Valley, home of the variety. South African Chenin Blanc is used to produce wines from dry to sweet, and even brandy. Chenin Blanc makes up approximately 18% of SA vineyard area. Among Paradisi’s Chenin Blanc offering: Chenin Blanc 2008 from Katbakkies Wines, Badenhorst Secateurs 2011 and Morgenhof Chenin Blanc 2009 (picture).
